Taxi driver advised us to go there. Food was excellent but tough to find something for a non fish eater. Had the broccoli and the sweet and sour pork. Both were delicious. Had some friends join us after we settled the bill and we then asked for tea. I handed my credit card to pay for the tea but they insisted no charge.

My wife and I tried this place on a recent trip. Their app ordering function was down so a real human had to come up to us and take our order. We didn't order too much because there are so many food options in the area and my Singaporean friend told me to prepare my stomach. Their pig trotter vinegar was done very well, also their charcoal custard bun, and the mala bihun noodles with clams. Our server, Sherine, checked up on us and made some conversation sensing we tourists, there was a person checking that out tea cups were filled and the food came out on a timely manner. Good experience!

I am super proud of Spring Court! This is a legacy restaurant that has taken great pains to reinvent itself and the dining concept to keep itself relevant! The stalwarts of the original menu, the dishes that made Spring Court a household name are firmly ensconced in the updated contemporary menu. Things you have to have: Fresh spring rolls (popiah). There are many excellent renditions of this all over Singapore and to be accurate, this is not haute or unique. It should be appreciated for the skill and craftsmanship it took to make something simple good. For always giving a damn, Spring Court goes into the Book of Life. Anything roasted...whether it's the Peking Duck or the Suckling Pig, these guys do a very credible job of respecting good ingredients to bring you something special...a brief glimpse into the soul of Singapore roots cuisine. True, there are versions of these same offerings all over the world, but bite into Spring Court's to open up the third eye, to begin to understand why Singapore is a top foodie destination. Cold crab. This was a revelation for me as I'd never till this last time I was there ever had this. It's a meaty crab with abundant roe that's been steamed and then served cold. With the vinegar based dipping sauce, this dish took my breath away with its audacious simplicity. An exquisitely fresh ingredient prepared simply with a wickedly ingenious condiment to turn something beautiful into something magical. As I almost never fail to say at the end of all my reviews, please just go out and try this for yourself. Stop wondering if I'm overstating my case and just experience Spring Court for yourself! You will not regret it.

I am by no means a connoisseur of Singaporean food being born, raised, and residing in the states. With that disclaimer, I would certainly recommend Spring Court to any friend. The carrot cake and popiah especially were unique and delicious. Everything else was very tastey. The service is fast and efficient. I would certainly come here again with guests. However I probably would go myself because of the cost.

If you're looking for a more upscale option for Cantonese food and dimsum in the Chinatown area, check out Spring Court. The restaurant has been around for almost 8 decades- for good reason. The peking duck is one of the best i've ever had and the dimsum is delicately made
